About Us

Since 2014, the Foothills Philharmonic Society has pursued a simple vision: bringing beautiful music to the Foothills through the creation of world-class musical experiences by local musicians.

What began with a single choir has grown into a vibrant musical community that now includes the Foothills Philharmonic Chorus, Chamber Chorus, Orchestra, Men’s Chorus, Ladies Vocal Jazz, and Vox Nova. Together, these ensembles bring musicians of all backgrounds and experience levels together in pursuit of artistic excellence, meaningful community, and a shared love of music.

Our performances span a remarkable range of repertoire—from Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi, and Fauré to contemporary choral works, jazz standards, film music, and orchestral favourites. Whether presenting large-scale masterworks, intimate chamber performances, or energetic jazz concerts, our goal is the same: to create exceptional musical experiences for both performers and audiences.

The Foothills Philharmonic offers a place for everyone. New and developing singers can find a welcoming musical home in the Chorus and Men’s Chorus, while experienced musicians can pursue greater artistic challenges through ensembles such as Chamber Chorus, Ladies Vocal Jazz, and Vox Nova. Designed with the realities of busy professional musicians and music educators in mind, Vox Nova combines independent preparation with focused collaborative rehearsals to perform advanced repertoire at a high artistic level.

As a registered non-profit organization, we are committed to making outstanding musical experiences accessible to our region.
