Chorus

The Foothills Philharmonic Chorus is at the heart of the Foothills Philharmonic Society, bringing together singers from across the region to perform a wide range of choral repertoire at a high artistic level. The ensemble explores music from all major style periods, including Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and contemporary choral writing.

Repertoire spans beloved composers such as Mozart, Mendelssohn, Schubert, and Brahms, alongside modern choral voices like Eric Whitacre and Arvo Pärt, offering a blend of timeless masterworks and striking new sound worlds. Concerts feature both intimate a cappella works and larger choral-orchestral pieces, creating engaging and emotionally powerful experiences for singers and audiences alike.

The Chorus is about more than performance—it is a place for singers to grow in confidence, musicianship, and ensemble skill while contributing to something larger than themselves.

The Foothills Philharmonic Chorus is directed by Tim Korthuis and accompanied by Amberly Stratton. New singers are always welcome, and audiences are invited to experience the richness of live choral music in the Foothills.
