Chamber Chorus

The Foothills Philharmonic Chamber Chorus is an auditioned ensemble made up of experienced singers who are drawn to the clarity, precision, and intimacy of chamber choral music. With fewer voices, the ensemble is able to explore repertoire that highlights transparency of texture, expressive detail, and ensemble independence.

The Chamber Chorus performs a wide range of music, from Renaissance and early music traditions through to contemporary chamber works, as well as select larger-scale pieces adapted for smaller forces. This flexibility allows the ensemble to take on challenging repertoire that demands a high level of musicianship, tuning, and blend, resulting in performances that are both refined and compelling.

The group has developed a strong reputation for artistic focus and musical excellence, offering singers the opportunity to engage with some of the most rewarding and demanding works in the choral repertoire while remaining rooted in the Foothills community.

The Chamber Chorus is conducted by Tim Korthuis. Experienced singers are encouraged to audition, and audiences are invited to experience the intimacy and intensity of chamber choral music at its finest.
